A Biosphere for Ireland

What if Ireland went all in on nature?

This project explores the idea of a National Biosphere for Ireland: a connected, living network of landscapes that could restore ecosystems at scale while supporting communities and rural livelihoods.

Rather than a fixed proposal, it asks how land, water, and culture might be reimagined as part of one shared ecological system.

A collaboration between Thomas Legge and Aislínn Kelly, the project brings together voices from across Ireland; farmers, ecologists, policymakers, and communities,  to explore how this ambition could work in practice and what it would take to make it real.
